This one’s special for the console fanbase all over the world…
Console gaming: The underrated gladiator of the gaming arena
Consoles are simply great. But are they great enough to compete against PC?

So, you love playing games and looking forward to buying a gaming rig just for it. You’ve done your analysis and research based on your budget and requirements. Great !! Now all you have to do is buy the components from the market, get it assembled, and you’re on!! You’ve now entered the sweet world of gaming via your DREAM build. Yes, you read it right. There was an emphasis on the word dream. But why is it a dream?
As too good to be true this dream gets, it’s still a dream for many people. Building a PC and playing games on it is one aspect; getting the state-of-the-art components is another. And that’s just for starters!! The main course gets a bit too hot to handle. Factors such as the level of the audience are also crucial. Even though assembling PC parts is as easy as playing with Lego, maintaining it, modifying it, and tweaking the settings can sometimes make things feel daunting.
But don’t worry if all that starters and the main course got you that burning and sweating!! A good dessert is always there to soothe and give you something that provides you the pleasure and power, but in a better way.

Yes!! Don’t let the looks deceive you. Consoles are nowadays the new cool.
Consoles are the bad boys, the hotshots, the underdogs of the gaming world. And mind you, they’ve matured a lot with time, just like wine to become the best. And come on, guys, let’s face it, console gaming has been there a lot from the beginning.
Remember those days when we played on those Nintendo consoles? From games like Mario Bros., Contra, Sonic the Hedgehog, if you’ve played any of these, then congratulations, your childhood was awesome!! Then, as time evolved, two warriors rose from their abyss to rule our world. With the digital era still at its infancy, Sony, with its classic PlayStation, took up the whole world in a storm. Every kid now wanted a PlayStation and games to talk and brag.
Then came the dawn of the Xbox console. With their games and the same ease-of-use, it became the next alternative for PlayStation. Both Sony and Microsoft enhanced and released new versions of consoles, with their controllers getting evolved as well. Then suddenly, Sony shook the world with their PlayStation Portable (PSP) and provided everyone with console gaming on the go.
All was going well until PCs began to rise to power. Gradually, everyone shifted towards PC gaming for best-in-class games and other benefits, which included multitasking. But now, consoles are back to rule again because, oh come on, do I need to repeat myself?! We all know the reason. Now let’s get over with this written flashback montage and go to the present before you guys doze off.
In my opinion, since everything we do has budget and hobbyist overtones as a parameter taken into consideration, consoles are the way to go. With the iconic PlayStation 4 and 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox One and Series X|S, people nowadays enjoy the benefits of gaming with optimal costs. Where a gaming PC stands at over lakh rupees, consoles come at half of that cost!! Plus, compared to a PC, consoles are much easier to set up and play on. And who can forget about those console-exclusive games like Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Ghost of Tsushima? And if you were thinking of saying: “I beg your pardon, but that’s for PlayStation. What about Xbox?!” Keep your calm, Team XB!! There’s a lot for you, too.

Microsoft Xbox has the best gaming environment, starting with their Xbox Game Pass, aka “The Netflix of gaming” aka “The only reason why people go for Xbox.” With this, you get to play backwards-compatible games and the latest on-the-house titles, and even some of the best games from the studios acquired by Microsoft, such as Bethesda Softworks’ classics Doom: Eternal. Now let’s move to the part that will instantly make you ditch your plans on getting a PC and get a console.
Sony and Microsoft have released their next-gen gaming consoles, targeting a minimum of 2K to a maximum 4K native at 120FPS. Where in a PC, FPS drops cause a lot of havoc, in these next-gen consoles, there are minimum to no FPS drops at all (Shoutout to the Ultra High-Speed HDMI 2.1). Now you tell me, which gaming platform delivers such cool features and customization with skins and themes, should you find it necessary, at less price?
So, to cut down this epic tale to a short outcome, consoles are the way-to-go if you want a whole gaming package in one single stuff, that too for less amount of bucks and hassle. And who knows, if you get too good with the console, you can even go for esports and even streaming and be the next icon. Think it over and choose wisely.
