Gaming is not just an emotion, but it has become a medium of expression and escape, especially for Indians. Our daily lives have just started to chew upon us from the inside out. We sometimes seek the adrenaline rush in our lives, but life seems to have other plans. So, we play action games, shooter games like Call of Duty, Players Unknown Battle Grounds, and more to fill in the gaps. Trust me; we’re all on the same page in this matter. I wanted to join the armed forces, but I couldn’t due to my medical issues. So, I play military games to let me live that life. But not everyone has time to get on with their laptop or PC and start playing.

With the advent of flagship smartphones, a lot has changed. People who could not find too much time for themselves could spare themselves a few moments for best-in-class games. Games like Modern Combat, Critical Ops, and more gave rise to mobile-centric gaming titles. Many games came, and many did fade away with time. And this is where we all need to realize that we use our smartphones more than all other electronic gadgets combined. We need to because the game studios had already realized this and have dedicated themselves to bringing in every possible gaming title to phones and tablets.

Most of the target users possess devices like smartphones and ipads if we take a tour of the west. Whereas on the eastern side, phone users are much more prominent. India already has much more phone players than PC and Console players combined. Considering all these facts, many PC gaming titles like PUBG and Call of Duty have already transitioned to mobile platforms. And do we need to know how they’re doing currently? These games have helped users have a blast and even rise to popularity as esport professionals, streamers, and content creators. Most of my time goes watching YouTube videos, and all I see are videos by top-tier players to underrated content creators playing their favourite games and sharing tips and tricks.

Mobile gaming also had to undergo a lot of struggles to bypass laws and regulations. We all know how PUBG Mobile had to suffer a lot in India, and it even got banned along with countless other apps of Chinese origin. Later it came back to India as BGMI, aka Battlegrounds Mobile India; special thanks to Krafton. Many countries are currently facing a struggle because some games are available in some countries only till now. The biggest examples are League of Legends: Wild Rift and Call of Duty: Mobile (Garena version).

Another piece of news that has taken the whole gaming community by storm is that games like Riot Games and EA studios have already started working on the mobile versions of games like Valorant and Apex Legends. Now, Valorant, gosh, it’s the best, period. From the fact that it can run even on a low-spec PC and the number of professionals and content creators it has given, it’s the best. I play it during my leisure time, and I never get bored with the tactical adrenaline rush it provides. As for Apex Legends, it’s one of the best Battle Royale games. With its mechanics, it’s obvious that it gives PUBG and Warzone a run for its money. Both these games are coming to mobile platforms. That’s good news for the underprivileged, who dream of having even a decent rig to play them.

And there’s more to come. A few images from the gaming app service, TapTap, have shown pictures of a free-to-play gaming title, Warframe, coming soon for testing. We don’t know whether it will release or not, but till then, we can only hope and pray for these games to come soon and be optimized in terms of performance with minimal bugs and glitches.

So, mobile gaming has created an ocean of opportunities for players worldwide. You get to play the best-in-class titles in the most advanced gadget of the century. It also means that as many gaming titles come to mobile, the number of professionals will also increase, and more will follow the queue. So buckle up, coz this is going to be one hell of a journey.
